"Linwood Wine at Hudson Lights is a highly commendable local gem, elevated significantly by the expertise of their resident wine specialist, Jeff. If you are hunting for rare or hard-to-find bottles, Jeff is an invaluable resource whose knowledge brings a remarkable competitive edge to this shop. The selection here is thoughtfully curated rather than purely volume-driven. As an enthusiast of Spanish wines and Japanese whiskies, I was particularly impressed by their focused offerings—you can easily find excellent, terroir-driven bottles from regions like Bierzo, Rías Baixas, and Priorat. Furthermore, the temperature-controlled glass cellar is a joy to browse, housing a very intriguing and high-quality collection of premium wines. While it is true that the pricing may be slightly higher than what you might find at massive retailers like Total Wine, the deeply nuanced selection and the bespoke guidance you receive more than justify the slight premium. For genuine wine lovers, the careful curation makes this shop a must-visit. A practical note for visitors: parking is quite convenient. You can park in the paid garage on the second floor of the same building, and the shop will provide a validation coupon to cover your parking fee."

"Nice liquor store by choice but lill expensive compared to other neighboring towns. Used to live in Cliffside Park and prices there few dollars better. Great collection of vines and expensive stuff. Also not satisfied by the lady on front/register, she actually tried to be nice but definitely with an attitude especially if you buying only pack of beer. Overall is okay but definitely would discover other places to check the prices."

"I've come here for years and always had a great experience. The clerks would provide boxes if you were buying heavier items or a couple bottles of wine, but this one recent time left me absolutely heated. I came by Friday night with 3 others, we're in our 30s, except one of us are 28. We were asked to all show ID, even though the state only requires the purchaser to show ID. We showed 3 IDs as our friend's wife didn't bring hers thinking it would be enough. This new clerk demands that we get hers as well. We're all 30, we're clearly not going to be hanging out with 18 year-olds, and no-one is getting married with a wedding ring to an 18 year old. We showed 3 IDs already, any clerk with some common sense would probably be like okay, that's alright. The clerk then says "anyone that doesn't look over 30 needs to show ID". She then pulls out the store policy that actually reads "anyone that doesn't look over 40 needs to show ID". It's fair if you want to enforce your policy, but I expect everyone under 30/40 to be carded then. HOWEVER, as I circle back to purchase by myself, the 2 people that were behind us in the line don't look over 30 and were not carded at all. I asked, why is the policy only selectively enforced? The clerk was so flustered when I pointed it out and asked why they didn't get carded and was responded with "You guys are Asian and look young." Are you kidding me? That's pretty much textbook racial profiling. Worst part. The clerk was probably like 18 years old herself. Clearly she needs some braincells and some common sense. We went over to the Linwood Plaza location, we didn't get carded, and bonus, they gave me a nice box as well to put everything in."
